We ended our trip in Italy with a brief stop in Sorrento followed by a night on the town in Rome. The trip was fantastic and unforgettable! We can't wait to get back to Europe to see more sights, eat more spectacular food, drink more excellent drinks, and spread the blanket of freedom!
We celebrated our last night in Italy with a great multi-course dinner with wine and entertainment. This "house band" played a bunch of songs that appealed to the older crowd, but they were very good. It seems like every italian that can play an instrument puts out a CD or too and tries to peddle it to the visiting americans. We checked out the song list these guys had and it was quite impressive. I was so close to buying a CD, but when we requested Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" they said they'd play it but didn't. This was an indelible stain on our trip. How dare somebody deny another human being a Shakira song...... so angry..
