A few thoughts on the Fourth of July

The 4th of July is awesome, and that is not debatable. It's the day that represents our founding fathers decided kick tyranny in the hooha and start a country that roxorz. Their words, not mine. The celebration of this great day as we know it has a couple key ingredients, all of which are distinctly American.

1. Barbecue, or some type of grilling - Americans love to grill their food because its somewhat primitive and 100% manly. First you make fire, then you slaughter an animal (any species will do). Sounds patriotic!

2. Fireworks - Again, we love fire and explosions. Also with this you could include shooting guns into the air (although we don't like that as much as some countries....looking at you Iran)

3. Patriotic Cakes - Mad props to the lady who invented the American flag cake. Scholars believe that Betsy Ross was the first to make the flag cake, but I think it was a president of some public school's PTA

4. Day off of work - How do you celebrate the hardworking attitude of Americans? Take the day off, and leaving work early the day before that. USA.

If you know other things that make a great fourth of July celebration, please let me know. There might be two people reading this blog, so if you don't post a comment, I just call you later.
