We ducked into a coffee shop in the afternoon because it was raining a bit. So I got a coffee and Laura got a coke light. This is her looking to see if the sky was clearing up......spoiler alert - it did!!
Laura standing on a bridge.
Here is the view laura and I had on our Gondola ride. For those of you going to Venice, and who are interested in taking a gondola ride, don't be afraid to negotiate your price. We talked this guy down over %25 in a matter of a couple minutes. There is one thing to remember about gondoliers; they love to drive their boats around. Its just an added bonus that Americans don't mind paying for it. It was a very enjoyable ride.
This is a shot of some of the many gondolas lined up against the side of a building (not pictured is the building).
This is Baxter. Baxter is also shown here with his owner, Ron Burgundy.
I'll let you guess who the Italians are in this picture.... (Hint: they are not wearing cargo shorts)
Fruit for sale at the outdoor market.
Here's an Italian playing sweet sweet accordion music in hopes that people will pay for it. HAHAHAHAHA!!! Doesn't he know all Americans download their music for free! We are way too smart than to pay for it. So silly...
This is a mail slot in the Doges (Duke's) Palace. What's special about this? I'll tell you. This is where the Venicians would drop secrets about people in the community. They would rat on their friends for talking about over throwing the government or whatever. Then the secret police would investigate, incarcerate, then celebrate! These vencians sure knew how to have a good time.
It is ok to wear sunglasses at all times because as Laura and I know, it is always bright in cool-town.
