This is Laura and I in the high end leather factory tour. I say tour, but it was more of a sales pitch. Like any good clothing salesman, they insisted we try on the different jackets. The one they picked for Laura was ok, but the one they picked for me was two notches below crappy. I looked like Ronald McDonald wearing a stupid jacket. Afterwards one of the salesmen stalked me and asked, "So, are you going to get that jacket you liked?" (in an italian accent, mind you).
I politely said, "no, I think I'm going to pass"
"Are you sure? I can tell you really liked it, and it looked so good on you."
I again said, "Not today."
"Why not?!?! It's a very nice jacket!"
At this point I was getting annoyed, and I couldn't find Laura to leave, so I just told him how it is. "I didn't like it. I think it actually is really ugly. My friends would make fun of me if they saw me in it."
Badda-bing!! Conversation over!!
This is a shot of the side of the famous Duomo in Florence. Not shown completely is the picturesque terracotta dome.
Fancy plates in a small shop that looked cool all stacked up. The store owner kept getting in front of my shot, so I had to get a little crafty. He stood directly in front of me to prevent me from taking any pictures so I put my head down and turned around. He saw that I wasn't interested in taking pictures and walked back to the counter. Then all of a sudden like a ninja tiger, I snapped back around and took like 5 or six pictures before he knew what hit him. USA USA USA!!!!
Ice cream being handed over the counter. We saw scenes similar to this many times in first person.
Part of a wall of wine where we ate lunch. It was a really neat atmosphere and delicious food. We got spaghetti carbonara and pesto lasagna. Both were excellent!
Just some italians rowing down the river about to go under the Ponte de Vechio (probably spelled that wrong).
Another view of the duomo
Statue commemorating the time when Perseus told Medusa to suck it. Then cut off her head. Perseus was a total badass.
The olive oil we had at lunch. Again, it was very good.
