Booth or Table?

When Laura and I go out to eat a sit down place we always request a booth. You know, if we are going to pay too much for a meal, we might as well sit in the seats we want. And normally the wait for the booth isn't too much longer than a table. The booth is good for someone like me because I like to spread out my plates at bit and I get messy. Also, its a little more private so the other patrons can't see how much food I have left on my shirt. However, last night when we went to dinner, out booth plan was put to the test.

We went to Ted's Montana Grill because they have great burgers, and we had a coupon. The latter being the primary reason. Laura went to put our name in and request the booth, and the dude up front said the wait would be 30-35 minutes with maybe an extra 5 for the booth. Awesome, we'll go walk around the shopping center and then come back. So we come back after 30 minutes and the guy up front says it will be one more group, then the next booth is ours. This sounds good, so we sat down and started waiting.......and waiting......and waiting.

As the wait continued we started to ask each other, "Should we just take a table?". But the answer was always no. We don't want to sit at a table because we know right as we do, a booth will open up, and we have already waited so long. By now we were getting super hungry and our stomachs started commenting on the wait,
"Jeebus!! Let's just eat!!"
And I was like, "yo, Stomach, you need to lock it up!"

Finally, our name was called, and not a moment too soon. It could have gotten ugly. So we sat and ate, and in case you were wondering, the booth was quite pleasant. We enjoyed our time.

Oh, and so you know, Ted's doesn't just serve those weird pickle things instead of the customary bread. If you ask for bread they bring out some awesome fresh baked rolls. But you have to ask.

In the future, we will still request a booth. I really don't want everyone to see all the crap I spill on my shirt.
