I am sorry

I would like to apologize to the thousands of people who read and comment on this blog. I have been pretty lazy the last month and haven't posted many pictures. But I promise you I will do better this month.

There are a couple events this month where I plan to take pictures. First, this Saturday we are throwing a baby shower for our good friends Rachel and Kevin. Rachel is the one having the baby, Kevin is the catcher. Then we are going to a wedding shower for some more fantastic friends, Tom and Christina. They are getting married in a couple months in New Orleans, so that should be frikkin sweet! Finally, we are heading to Washington DC for the wedding of Laura's high school friend, Jane. I cant wait to get some super patriotic pictures! There will be a picasa album sent out soon after that trip. Also, I plan to again break out my newly developed moonwalking ability at the reception! 360 SPin!!!1

Oh, one more bit of news. I got a new camera lens the other day, and it should get here next week. I cant wait to use it. For those of you who don't give two shits about photography, here's a brief explanation of why I got it. Indoors, often times, you need to use a flash so the picture isn't so dark. The flash usually makes people look weird, stoned, uber pale, and about 65% less attractive. This lens is built to allow a lot more light into the camera thereby greatly reducing the need for the flash.

  1. Your social calendar is pretty booked up, Rob. The new lens will be a lot of fun. When I got my first SLR, thee was no such thing as a zoom. We always had to use prime lenses. Your 50 is going to act like a 90 or so because of the cropped sensor. The 1.4 aperture will be handy.

  2. Question: The kit lens I use now is an 18-55. Is that 55 acting like and 90ish?

  3. According to B&H it is acting like a 29-88.

  4. ok, so the 50mm is going to look a lot like what I have now. Perfect. Most of the time I dont go below 35mm. Also a sweet wide angle lens would be awesome. One step at a time, robert. One step at a time.
